Lets Talk About My Alcohol Ink on Glass Pieces!
Many of you ask me "What is Alcohol Ink"? It is an acid free, highly pigmented, fast drying medium to be used on non-porous surfaces like glass. PERFECT!!!! For me, I create the glass and copper piece, then put a masking over the glass, sketch my design, cut the design out with an xacto knife and paint away. Once dry, I seal and paint on the resin to make it permanent to the glass. Viola!!!!!
November Show Schedule is short and out of the State!
Me and two other Houston artists will be in a convoy heading to Covington, Louisisana for the Three Rivers Art Festival, November 11th and 12th.
I will be in booth 320 so if you are in the area, come on by. I have some amazing new pieces.
Another new Technique I'm playing with! WOW!
There is a tad bit of recycling going on here. Remember those glass globs everyone has. Well I have thousands of them from other mosaic projects. I have been making new creative glass and copper pieces using them and "AMAZING" things are happening.
The flower center is an old wall light sconce I was given by a dear friend and coming out of it were once on a chandelier. How fun and different is this piece?
Thank you, thank you. Until the next scoop.......
